We are very pleased to congratulate our (now former) trainee solicitor, Matthew Bass, who qualified as a solicitor on 16 September 2019.

Matthew has been an extremely popular member of the team since he joined us as a trainee back in September 2017, and has been an immense help to all those he has worked with during his training period.  We look forward to Matthew’s continuing journey with us.

Matthew says,

“I am delighted to have qualified and to be staying with Hancocks after two years training at the firm.

I was able to work in our busy family department with Ian Davies and Laura Parker on a wide variety of cases including complicated divorce proceedings and protracted child arrangement disputes. This has allowed me to build the experience and skills necessary to advise client’s on the best course of action for them. I’m looking forward to continuing my work in the family team.

I also worked in our litigation department, alongside Siobhan Sibley, where I gained experience of various contested matters. I was lucky enough to work on several matters where we were able to achieve a positive settlement for the client avoiding the need for court action. I hope to continue working for businesses and individuals to resolve disputes through proactive intervention.

Going forward I will be working in the Family and Litigation departments with both new and existing clients.”
